AN ENDLESS NUMBER, UNTIL THE “BRILLIANT” FOLKS WHO SEND OUR CHILDREN TO WAR START SENDING THEIR OWN OFFSPRING. THEN, THE WARS WILL STOP.

We will never stop sending our young people off to war. In our hearts we are Americans and it is part of our nature to help others.
During a war you can always tell an American by the way Children act towards them. During the Vietnam War the kids would always come to an American. We always had a piece of gum or candy for the kids. Many of the units supported a school, orphanage or other place to help the people. Mose of the units in Iraq and Afghanistan support a school, orphanage or other civilian agency.
It has been over 40 years since I served in Vietnam and to this day I still can see the faces of the children.
War is a terrible thing, but sometimes it must be done.
Time will tell if we were right.
Have a merry Christmas and don’t forget those who serve.

No one likes war; especially those who have to fight it. However, some issues, ideals, and strategic aims require the use of force. To think otherwise is naive and ignores the realities of a brutal world.
Our current administration and our next one have and will have to make very tough decisions concerning what is best for the defense and interests of the United States and their allies. If the decision is to wage war, then let it be swift, effective and free of unintended consequences (what happens when politicians fight our wars vice our military). That way we can reach stability and begin maintaining peace.
We need to pray for our leaders that they make the right decisions this coming year and pray for the safety and morale of our troops.
