Right on cue, the White House press awakens from its Bush slumber
by Eric Boehlert
Pulling a collective Rip Van Winkle, the White House press corps has awakened from its extended nap just in time to aggressively press the new Democratic administration, just as it dogged the last Democratic president during his first days in office back in the 1990s. Conveniently skipped over during the press corps’ extended bout of shut-eye? The Bush years, of course.

In a world that feasts on a lack of perspective, this article takes the cake.
You do recall Helen Thomas, don’t you? Have you read the New York Times? I hear they’re hurting for revenue, perhaps you should renew your subscription. The LA Times as well could hardly be described as “lapdogs” by anyone with a clue.
The press is engaging in CYA with Barry. They led the charge to get him elected so now they have to backtrack and rediscover their “impartiality”.
But, if you need a dose of media Obama love, tune in Chris Matthews or Keith Olbermann. Only in small doses though, too much exposure to MSNBC makes normal people break out in hives.

I do recall Helen Thomas and how she was humiliated by the Bush White Hosue Press Secretary (lost her seat).
The New York Times is hardly the liberal bastion you seem to think it is. The Gray Lady has clearly lost lots of edge.
    Have you read Boehlert’s book?
    Suggest you do so.
We wouldn’t have had the Bush disasters without media cheerleading.
