 Eagle Lake Hike

This was one of the best hikes I’ve ever done – 2200 feet elevation gain over 4 miles to the 10,000+ foot Eagle Lake:

It was too expensive to fly my bike out there, but I did get a chance to rent a bike for the day in Monterey. Believe it or not, I had a minor accident with a golf cart that bent my front wheel rim and added many miles to the awesome tour (is it 17 miles going out to Carmel? Or a 17 mile loop?):
